Chuck, a.k.a. Chucky, is a 7-year-old tricolor Jack Russell rough coat, long legged male, weighing in at a sturdy 19 pounds.
Sadly, for Chuck his owner passed away and there were no family members able to take him in. We are glad we are to assist the family, his friends and the breeder in finding him the perfect forever home.
Truly a full-blooded Jack Russell Terrier with the character and personality to match. A high energy beautiful JRT, a ball fanatic and in adoration of squeaky toys. Chuck is great with people, but definitely loves to gather his toys and balls and therefore will not be placed with children under the age of 12. This dog walks beautifully on a leash and rides great in the car.
Chuck was a star at the vet when he greeted all the vet techs with tail wagging enthusiasm and was a perfect gentleman while waiting for his turn to be health checked. Chuck is neutral about other dogs, and living with a four-legged roommate with the right mellow temperament would work well.
Having been spoiled rotten by his only elderly owner, his exercise was mostly limited to ball playing in a fully fenced backyard, and only given occasional walks. Now every morning at the rescue he is getting a 3 to 5 mile walk and ball play in the afternoon, enjoying these activities immensely. Chuck is a beautiful affectionate dog.
Frustrated by not having his own person, we would love to see this delightfully energetic dog find a home where he will truly be active and adored. A Jack Russell in name and character, perhaps you might be his future family?
